Michael was the first postdoctoral researcher in the group. His research interests were in developing and applying new computational approaches to understand the properties and inform the optimization of new materials. Before moving to NYU, his graduate research was in the groups of Prof. Jill Millstone and Prof. Daniel Lambrecht at the University of Pittsburgh where he studied the electronic structure and emergent properties of metal nanoparticles. Michael is currently at Merck.
