Michael was the first post doctoral researcher in the group. His research interests are in developing and applying new computational approaches to understand the properties and inform the optimization of new materials. Before moving to NYU, his graduate research was the groups of Prof. Jill Millstone and Prof. Daniel Lambrecht at the University of Pittsburgh where he studied the electronic structure and emergent properties of metal nanoparticles. Michael is currently at Merck.
